APE MANTIS REDUX

Ape Mantis sang to me with its harmonic wings “You sold me for a nickel to that museum in the Berkshires”. “Thank you for caring”. It lumbered off through the meadow, Goldenrod pollen powdered its fur. Agate marbles clacking in the sun. I went to the anthracite shack near the railroad. The rail car said Nebraska as it whizzed by. I shifted my burlap bag and moved on.
